Privacy Policy

This policy explains what VAK collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to what we need to generate replies and run the service.

1. Who this applies to

This Privacy Policy applies to the VAK app and website. It describes how we handle your personal information when you use VAK.

2. Information we collect

We collect:

  • Account information from Google Sign-In: your email address, name and profile picture.
  • The text you paste in to generate replies, along with your chosen tone, humour and language settings.
  • Usage data: for example, how many generations you use, your daily allowance, purchases and basic technical/diagnostic information needed to operate the service.

3. How we use your information

We use this information to:

  • Generate reply suggestions from the message you paste in;
  • Operate your account, apply your free daily allowance and credits, and enforce fair-use rate limits;
  • Process purchases and deliver credits;
  • Keep VAK secure and prevent abuse, and improve the service using aggregated, non-identifying insights.

4. Generation history and retention

The text you paste in and the replies generated for you are automatically deleted within 30 days. We keep account and purchase records for as long as your account is active or as needed to meet legal, accounting and fraud-prevention obligations.

5. Service providers we use

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to run VAK. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — stores your account data and app data;
  • Dodo Payments — processes payments and billing;
  • Upstash — powers rate limiting and usage counting;
  • An AI model provider — receives the message and settings you submit in order to generate the suggested replies.

6. We do not sell your data

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising. We do not train public AI models on your conversations.

7. Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing pulse.anony@gmail.com. We will respond in line with applicable law.

8. Children’s privacy

VAK is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including keeping AI provider keys server-side. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when we do.
